Uses: Mainly used in producing azo dye and sulfur dye.P-phenylenediamine is an intermediate of azo disperse dyes, acid dyes, direct dyes and sulfur dyes. Adding 3% hydrogen peroxide
solution turns black, adding 5% ferric chloride can turn brown. It has a strong affinity for keratin in the hair, and its oxidation process is the color fixation process during hair dyeing.
