HEDP Cas 2809-21-4 Etidronic Acid Monohydrate
1-Hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid / HEDP CAS 2809-21-4
1-Hydroxyethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid (HEDP)
CAS No: 2809-21-4
Molecular Formula: C2H8O7P2
Use
HEDP is a type of cathodic corrosion inhibitor. Compared with inorganic phosphates, it can be compounded with sodium molybdate, silicate, zinc salt and co-polymer mainly as scale corrosion inhibitor in treatment of cyclic cooling water, oil field flash and boiler water .It can be also used as sequestrant in detergent and complexing agent and metal scour in electroplating.
Characteristic
HEDP may debond to five ions positive or negative and chelate the two-valent metal ion in water. Thus it's take a good scale inhibiting effect. This product is proof against high temperature, oxidizing and high pH value. It shows perfect synergic effect and solving threshold effect while be compounded with other corrosion inhibitors and scale inhibitors.
